Recovery Fitness is a workout and nutrition program that educates clients about how exercise and eating right can facilitate the early stages of recovery and help prevent relapse. In addition to movement–cardio, resistance training, isometrics, calisthenics (sit-ups, squats)–guests are given nutritional information about replenishing vitamins and minerals their bodies have depleted of due to addiction.

Three hour-long classes/week (30-minute personal training sessions are also available) start with guests learning about hydration, what to eat, what not eat, proteins, carbs, fats, and nutritional values and potential pitfalls. Guests learn about the psychological benefits a healthy lifestyle can have on recovery. Then the medicine balls, dumbbells, jump ropes, resistant bands, and other equipment come out for a full-blown physical workout, geared to each guest’s fitness level and ability.

Recovery Fitness empowers guests to be self-sufficient and in control of their physical and nutritional health after they leave the program. No health clubs or home gyms are necessary. Only the class workbooks guests take with them and the knowledge gained in the classes.
