How Addiction Triggers Lead to Relapse
Meeting with your unique needs, Spirit Lodge provides a truly nurturing environment as a residential treatment center for alcohol rehab and drug rehab programs. The Living in Balance portion of our treatment for drug abuse and alcoholism will present a great deal of information in a series of educational addiction recovery sessions.
Addiction triggers, the threat they pose as a factor in leading to relapse, how to identify and avoid these and overcome them, as well as the different types of addiction triggers will be thoroughly discussed during your treatment program.
You will learn that the strength of triggers in addiction may be increased dependent upon the amount of time that an individual has been an active substance abuse addict. These associations between the many different aspects of everyday life and the use of drugs and alcohol become stronger and stronger with time.
Interrupting Addiction Triggers is Important
Fighting addiction triggers is often not enough for an individual to prevent addiction relapse. This is why your addiction treatment program at Spirit Lodge will be discussing ways for you to interrupt the addiction triggers, stopping them in their tracks before they reach the point of strong cravings and drug use.
At Spirit Lodge we treat you as a unique individual and much more than just an addiction. That’s why our supportive, experienced counselors, who regularly help guests from Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, California, New York and Florida, will work closely with you to assist you in ending your alcohol dependence or drug dependence.
