Addiction Relapse Warning Signs

Addiction relapse warning signs will be a part of the information presented to you during the Living in Balance portion of your addiction treatment program at Spirit Lodge. Learn more by viewing the many informative pages of our website or by calling one of our caring addiction treatment professionals at (888) 293-2202 to receive assistance with your recovery from an addiction to drugs or alcohol.

You will have the opportunity to participate in discussions regarding examples of relapse warning signs of various sorts. Experiencing a warning sign that could indicate the potential for drug and alcohol addiction relapse is present may indicate any number of things.

Learning how important it is to discover both what these warning signs are and how to handle them will be a significant aspect of your recovery program during this particular educational session.

Examples of Addiction Relapse Warning Signs

Examples of these signals indicating potential addiction relapse include experiencing a lack of confidence in your ability to maintain your sobriety, feeling a need to force others to remain sober from drugs and alcohol, avoiding others and falling into isolation or finding yourself focusing primarily on one negative aspect of your life with a sense of helplessness and lack of fairness in the way you have been treated by others.

Other examples of relapse warning signals could be feelings of sadness and unhappiness, as wells as oversleeping--issues that might stem from feelings of depression, the inability to thoroughly plan and complete tasks and goals, wishing for the ability to run away from your current life scenarios, as well as feelings of hopelessness and a sense of belligerence against the willingness to try to fix issues in your life.

You will also be presented with warning signs of addiction relapse such as easily becoming irritated or angered, poor diet behaviors and an overindulgence in foods that are bad for you, difficulty sleeping, attending fewer and fewer group help meetings, feeling sorry for yourself, experiencing thoughts of abusing drugs and drinking alcohol again, as well as finding yourself telling lies to people in general or in your recovery program.

At Spirit Lodge we know you are more than just an addiction.  Because of this, our supportive, experienced counselors, who regularly help guests from Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, California, New York and Florida, will work closely with you to assist you in ending your alcohol and drug dependence.
