Addiction Recovery and Time Management
Addiction treatment at Spirit Lodge includes the Living in Balance section where you will be guided by caring recovery professionals through a number of informative sessions including exercises
Active addiction can take a great deal of the time in your life. Much time is absorbed by not only using drugs or alcohol, but also in the process of obtaining these substances. When you work to achieve recovery from an addiction, the drug seeking and usage time should center around achieving long-term sobriety.
Although an addicted lifestyle is often very chaotic, the lifestyle of a recovering drug addict or alcoholic should not be. Scheduling time around addiction recovery and establishing plans and schedules in order to achieve a more structured lifestyle for having a better chance of staying sober are all a part of the simplified, less chaotic time management that you will learn to employ in your life during addiction treatment at Spirit Lodge.
Planning in Sobriety
You will learn how important it is to both make plans for specific, healthy behaviors at particular times and to stick to those scheduled plans. Some examples may be physical exercise, 12 step meetings or self-help meetings, recreational activities and telephoning your sponsor.
Professionals at Spirit Lodge realize that each of our guests is a unique individual with specific needs for overcoming addiction. Our fully trained and experienced counselors, who regularly help guests from Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, Louisiana, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Oklahoma, New York and Florida, will work closely with you to assist you in ending your alcohol dependence or drug dependence.
